A Surprise Proposal


There are few places in Chattanooga more magical than Snooper’s Rock, especially at sunset. Tucked away in the Tennessee mountains with sweeping views of the Tennessee River, it’s a favorite spot for adventurous couples—and the perfect backdrop for a surprise proposal.

Andrew reached out to plan the sweetest surprise for his girlfriend, Emma. She thought they were just heading out for a scenic hike, but as the sun dipped low on the horizon, he got down on one knee and asked her to spend forever with him.

The look on Emma’s face said it all—complete surprise, followed by so much joy. It was such an intimate and heartfelt moment, just the two of them surrounded by golden light and mountain views.

Afterward, Emma and Andrew changed into dinner outfits for a few more photos to celebrate. I love when couples bring an outfit change—it’s such a fun way to capture both the raw, emotional proposal moment and then a polished, elevated look afterward. The mix of casual and dressed-up photos gave them the best of both worlds.

Snooper’s Rock is truly a hidden gem for proposals and engagement sessions. It feels private and adventurous, while still being close to Chattanooga. It a perfect spot for a surprise proposal with such amazing views!!
